£585,000 Stunning Direct River Views From This Good Sized Warehouse ConversionRoyal Arsenal, SE18 6RU
The old and the new
You may know that work is well under way on the Crossrail station that will complete the area's already excellent commuter links, but did you know that when the Royal Arsenal Riverside was a working Arsenal it had it's own railway line?
There were around 70 miles of track being used by some 80 steam powered engines. 1820 saw the opening of the tracks and a mainline branch developed on the site in 1849.
There are just 2 surviving engines from this period which we believe you can see at Crossness Pumping Station in Abbey Wood having been restored by the Crossness Engines Trust.
Whilst today there are very few visible signs of the tracks on the Royal Arsenal Riverside you will find the manicured open space of Wellington Park, the ease of a short walk to the River Thames, the onsite facilities such as the concierge, residents gym,Tesco Express, The Cornerstone Cafe, Medical Centre and dentist are far more useful!
Building 47 has a unique communal entrance hall which greats you once you are through the secure glass doors with a circular tiled '47' to the centre of the carpeted floor.
Located on the first floor the flat occupies the North East corner of the building and this together with the huge arched windows makes the flat naturally light and bright. Flats of this size don't appear very often so don't miss out!
A good sized entrance hall greets you upon entering the flat with the spiral stairs to the upper floor and doors to one of the bedrooms, shower room and the living/kitchen room.
The living room has double height to most of it with lots of exposed brickwork and as mentioned earlier two large windows with direct river views.
To the rear of the living room is the fitted kitchen with lots of work surface space and cherry wood fronted units. The built in appliances include gas hob, electric oven, extractor hood and dishwasher. There is ample space for a dining table between the kitchen and living space.
The bedroom on this level has an ensuite shower, is a generous double, with ample space for wardrobes, and other furniture as required.
Upstairs you will find the main bedroom, family shower room and the 3rd bedroom/sleeping gallery.
The main bedroom has the arched section from the window below and has plenty of space for wardrobes. The ensuite bathroom is fitted with a modern white suite with white tiling and chrome fittings to compliment.
Overlooking the living room is the sleeping gallery a versatile space which could be a great home office space, 2nd lounge or indeed 3rd bedroom.
Please note the ceiling height to the upper level is approx 6ft or 1.82m from floor to ceiling.
The property also comes with an allocated parking space.
